1. Select the neighborhood that you are most interested or browse through all our listings to find the New York apartment most suitable for you.
2. Contact the agent that specializes in the neighborhood that you are interested in to find out more details about the apartment or to help you finding what you have in mind. If you need the apartment to be under a corporate lease or you are a diplomat, please let your agent know right away, so he/she can let you know the buildings and landlords that will easily qualify you.
3. Make an appointment with your agent to view the apartments that you have selected.
4. Once you find the apartment you are looking for, be ready to provide the landlord with tax returns, letter of employment, credit report, etc. Be aware that most landlords will require you to earn 40 to 50 times the rent to consider your application. If you do not meet their requirement or you are from out of the country, we can still help you find an apartment for you to live in New York. We have landlords that are much more flexible and will consider rental applications on a case to case basis.
5. Your agent will help you go through the whole process until your application is approved. If you rented an unfurnished apartment from a condominium building, your agent will also help you fill out the condominium package and follow up with its approval.
Lara Group is here to help you make the New York apartment rental process as easy and less stressful as possible!
